Marine C-130 refuels a CH-53 mid flight during RIMPAC A U.S. Marine Corps C-130J Super Hercules cargo plane with the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron (VMGR) 152 from Okinawa, Japan, conducts an aerial-refueling with a CH-53E Super Stallion helicopter assigned to Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron (HMH) 463 during Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise. Twenty-five nations, 45 ships and submarines, about 200 aircraft, and 25,000 personnel are participating in RIMPAC around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. The world’s largest international maritime exercise, RIMPAC provides a unique training opportunity while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring the safety of sea lanes and security of the world’s oceans.
