Operation "Relampago" FAC and USAF Military Drills

Today started in the Instalations of the Combat Air Command No. 5 (CACOM 5) of the Colombian Air Force in Rionegro, Antioquia, Colombia the military air combat training exercise between the Colombian Air Force (FAC) and the United States Air Force (USAF). Six USAF F-16s Fighting Falcons and six Kfirs C-10 will engage in Military training exercises during this week, in Rionegro, Colombia. The South Carolina Air National Guard has deployed airmen, cargo and F-16’s to Colombia, for a two-week engagement called Relampago. Swamp fox airmen will work alongside their Colombian air force counterparts, strengthening their relationship and increasing operational capabilities. During the 14 days, it is expected the development of aerial maneuvers throughout the department of Antioqia, such air-to-air combat drills, in which preparation is searched standards of quality and functionality in "Lightning" exercises. The aim of the exercise is to strengthen the capacities of both Air Forces crews in different action scenarios. The course will have seven multirole combat aircraft F-16 Fighting Falcon of the National Guard of the State of South Carolina (USA) and will be supported by two strategic C-17 Globemaster transport aircraft . In the case of the Colombian Air Force will participate with the Kfir fighter aircraft from the Air Combat Command No.1 in Puerto Salgar, Cundinamarca.
